- So what I can start to do with just the pure cadmium yellow light is I can just look kind of underneath the subject that we're looking at and then start to lay down the stronger color that we can then paint on top of. So if you look here on the leaves, you can start to put the yellow under there, even though it's going to be brighter and we're going to be painting over it. It would just help to give us that glow underneath that area of the painting. I just see a couple of bits that I've missed before in the background. You can paint those in. Okay, that little edge there, that edge just on the edge just helps to show the size of the cup. Okay, that's great. And then when that's drying off, it wouldn't take very long for it to dry off, but we can just lock in the actual shape of the cup and the tones that are on there. So if you start with the white, and again, just clean your brush out, sort of very lightly blush that on. So now just by that, putting just with the pure whites very…
