Attaching volumes to structure: Dynamic standing pose

- Once we establish our core structure, the next step is to attach our 3D volumes to the structure. As we look at this preliminary sketch, let's review our key concepts so far. We always want to beware of the core gesture of the body, moving from high to low so that energetic pulse of the drawing, what we feel when we see the pose. That's always our first step. Once we get that core energetic flow of the gesture, we start to address issues of structure. Putting in our access points. Shoulder to elbow, elbow to wrist. And in between these access points, we can start to establish the structure of the body. The structure of the body absolutely relates to the way that these points relate in space. High high. Low hip. Hip to knee. Knee to ankle. Ankle to foot. So, we really want to make sure that our structure is dynamic. That we've talked about what the core gesture's doing.
