Why Von started his own business
(LAUGH). I got started because I got fired. Yeah, so, that, that was an interesting story, You know, I was married, two kids, we had just moved back to Oregon and now I didn't have any way to make a living. I get home and my wife just says for the past three years you've been talking about. You know, running your own business, why don't you just do it? And so, I started, and it, that started in February of 2002, and I'm doing everything I'm doing now. So, it, it's It was a little hairy the first eight months, but after that it worked out pretty good. And slowly I started applying everything I'd learned previously at other jobs. So, oh, one benefit about working for a large company. Is when you're working for a large company you can make all your mistakes for the large company, you know they can absorb all your screw ups. So, when you go work for yourself, you don't make those same mistakes and cost you a lot of money so, that's kind of nice yeah.
