- The next artist I want to share with you is a talented drawer based out of Florida by the name of Joey Ellis. First, let me say, he's an impeccable illustrator. I've seen his digital artwork and it's amazing. But it all starts in analog, all starts in a drawn form. He's also doing a comic book series, and he's shared some really cool drawings with me to show to you. This is an up-close shot of one of his inked-out drawings of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. What I really love about this is just the linework itself. It just has a nice hand-done quality to it. But in terms of where he's decided to put the thicks and thins in it, I think, is what makes it work so well. Now, when you move to a more complex layout and theme, that is his comic book, he utilizes this same methodology in terms of inking his linework.
