- Welcome to Day 2 of the 5 Day Drawing Challenge. Today's Drawing Challenge theme is Creatively Inspired Botanicals. Nature is full of fascinating and incredibly unique plants of all types, shapes, and colors. Entire creative careers exist around those who illustrate plants for scientific purposes as well. I want you to imagine yourself as a botanist, exploring the jungles of South America. After several days of exploration, you have discovered an unknown plant species. You realize, however, you have no access to the outside world. Your smartphone is dead and you have no camera, yet you have to capture your discovery and document it for the world to see. Your challenge today is to draw the plant you have discovered with the only tools you have available: a pencil or pen, and paper. So imagine what your plant looks like and draw it out.
