- How did your monster come out? Is it uniquely strange? Did you visualize a nightmarish creature? Monsters are a favorite topic of drawers all around the world. So you're in good company. Here's how my monster drawing came out. I had a lot of fun with this one. I like working in this loose, sketchy style just with a pencil, and just going in and just working out simple shading in areas such as like on the eye here, figuring out where shadows are going to be and not worrying about how precise it's going to be. It's a sketch, it's a pencil sketch, so you can be loose with it, go in and just work it out. Just spend a lot of time working through sketches like this, whatever you're drawing. The monster theme is a fun one because there are no rules, you can do whatever you want. A monster can be whatever you want and I'm not, normally I name, name creatures, if I come up with a cool drawing, so I don't have a name for this one, so maybe you can suggest a name for it.
