Day 1 challenge: The cat's meow

Welcome to day one of the 21-day drawing challenge. The first drawing challenge is for you to draw a cat. When drawing anything, you want to think about the theme, or subject, thoroughly before you start drawing. What attributes about a cat make it so recognizable as a feline? Using photo reference will assist you in identifying these key areas, so you can then translate them into a drawn form by analyzing their shapes. We've provided this photo reference sheet to assist you, whether the style you're working in is graphic or more realistic. So, don't hesitate to reference these real world images in order to glean helpful cues in your drawing pursuits. You'll find the photo reference sheet for this challenge in the exercise files for this course.
