Incorporating estimates from suppliers and subcontractors
Often a big part of Designer-Client Agreements is the incorporation of other creative suppliers' bids as well. You need to get very organized and precise about that, so you can that include these costs in your own agreement. When getting estimates from others to incorporate, make sure your terms and conditions and theirs are the same, and that everyone is lined up with the client's expectations. Discuss Rights and ownership of the work product. Remember, that you can't sell their work to the client, unless you own it. Review and confirm all schedules and deadlines. Come to a definite position on how many revisions and alterations are included in this suppliers bid, and make sure to define a quality assurance process, because it's your reputation on the line. You can estimate everything upfront and include these figures in your Designer-Client Agreement, or wait until you actually concept the design to provide these numbers.
