How to use your advisement team

- You've decided that you could use some advice and guidance. You have several advisors signed on. You shared with them why you want their advice, and they know your expectations. Now how do you use them? This quite honestly is the fun part. First make sure you have regular communication with them. A monthly check-in is great. It could just be a quick email of the high level items you've agreed upon, just a general all is well, or I see challenges ahead. Second, no matter what, deliver mandatory quarterly updates. Your advisors are available, but make sure you provide them with detailed updates at least quarterly. This can be in the form of a call, an email, a video chat, a meeting in person, whatever works. Location doesn't matter, consistency does. Third, ask for feedback, ideas, and plans, especially early on.
