- [Instructor] Alright, now that we have downloaded the Oracle 12c Database software, we are ready to begin our installation. First thing, let's make sure we are logged in with the Oracle user in Linux. You can verify that by clicking on the power icon in the right-hand corner. There you can see that we are logged in with the Oracle user. Go back to your terminal window and go into the orasoft directory. This is the directory where we moved our Oracle Database installation files. Inside the orasoft directory, please go to the database subdirectory and once inside the database subdirectory, we can start the Oracle installation process. In order to do that, please type ./run and then with a capital I, Installer. Pressing enter, will launch the Oracle Universal Installer, which will guide us through the installation process.
