What is AI?
(energetic electronic music) - [Interviewer] Just very briefly, what can we do with AI right now? And where would you like to see AI in the next 10 years? - Well, the first part is, what is AI, and where is this blend with data science, and all of these things, and the power of what people have been calling machine learning, to AI, underlining with new levels of data, the big a-ha moment has been, hey, we can apply techniques that are deeply computation, meaning they require lots and lots of processing power, combined with lots of data. Most of the time that data comes in is not clean, and so you've got to clean it up, and get it into the system, and then the algorithms can do stuff, and that has been where this big breakthrough has happened. And so I do believe that we're still very much in the early days of machine learning and AI, and especially in the applications where we're seeing it. And the applications span an incredible swath of things, but the part of AI that is truly transformative is fundamentally, how do you get these large data sets to work for you, and how do you get them to actually find new, clever insights? Machine learning, and AI, make that easy. (energetic electronic music)
