Proxmox: Creating and configuring virtual machines

- [Instructor] Let's create our first virtual machine, or VM, on Proxmox. The process is generally straightforward, but there are definitely some pitfalls to avoid. The very first step is to obtain an ISO file for the operating system, or OS, of your choice and put it in the right directory of Proxmox hypervisor. To do this you need to open a Proxmox console window. First, make sure that you're in the Server View by choosing it from a list like this. Click on the top level host called proxmox1 right below Datacenter. This is your hypervisor, and we'd like to open a console connection to it by clicking on the Shell menu and choosing noVNC. Once you open the terminal window, change your directory to cd var lib vz template iso. Press Enter. Type ls. This is the default directory your hypervisor looks for OS ISO files when you are attempting to create a new VM on Proxmox. As you can see, I already downloaded the ISO files we need.
