- [Instructor] Now that we have gone through a lot of the basic principles of how data science can be used in retail, sales and marketing, the most important thing for you to do is to put your data to use. You can start by looking, for instance, at your CRM software and see if the application that you're using allows you to do things like market segmentation. All of 'em should do that. Lead scoring, maybe predictive modeling, and possibly even sentiment analysis. Also, if you use CMS software, content management system, you might want to see if you can do a recommendation engine directly in that program or possibly dynamic pricing. And if you don't have these built into your CRM or CMS software, you can also trying programming these applications directly in Python or R. If you're more comfortable working in Microsoft Excel, you can explore the range of plugins that are available.
