Working in the Trim mode
- Picking up where we last left off, let's see how the same keyboard commands act very differently when we're in the trim edit mode. But first let's go ahead and duplicate the timeline we've been working on. So I'm going to right click on 05_05 More Timeline Stuff and I'm going to duplicate that. And let's right click and rename this 05_07 Trim Edit. So the first thing you'll notice is let's go in here and switch into the trim mode. I'm going to click on this button here. Or, of course, I can use the t key. Press t, switches us to trim. A switches us back into the normal edit mode. So t, and also noticing t I've got a new type of cursor here and it's going to show me some very different behaviors. For instance, I'll press a to get back into normal edit mode. I'm going to click in the empty space and drag across a bunch of shots and notice how I've got the red borders on all these different clips. That means I can click and drag and move around them, but if I click in the empty space…
