Working in the Edit mode
- We've been talking about manipulating shots, now it's time to learn how to manipulate the edits between shots. We're continuing on the timeline we created in the previous movie, 0505 More Timeline Stuff. In this movie, we're working in what DaVinci Resolve calls Normal Edit mode. How do tell if you're in Normal Edit mode? It's easy - take a look at your mouse pointer and hover it over a shot. If your mouse pointer in the timeline looks like an arrow, you're in the Normal Edit mode, as opposed to the Trim mode, which I'll show you very quickly, press the T button, and we're in Trim mode, and notice it's like these two parentheses pointed inwards at each other, that's the Trim mode. That's also this icon, highlighted right here, to get ourselves back into the Normal Edit mode, we'll press the A button and that takes us back to the pointer, make sure your pointer looks like an arrow, because everything we're about to do works very differently depending if it's in Normal Edit mode or…
