- So let's talk a little bit about how much color is too much color. We're going to start on the timeline here, 07_06 Broadcast Safe. Because we're going to look at the Broadcast Safe filter, which helps us manage oversaturated colors. I've gone ahead and created this timeline, some oversaturated colors for us to look at. I'm going to do cmd shift W or ctrl shift W on a PC, and I'm going to pull up my scopes and I'm covering over the image so that we don't get distracted by it, and what you can see here is yes, I still have this with the 2x zoom turned off so this really is an oversaturated image. How do I know that? Well, if we pick up our graticules, or graticules as I like to say, you'll see that I've got these target boxes here. They go all the way around the color wheel. They're set for my primary and secondary colors, so red green blue, magenta cyan yellow. These boxes are essentially our boxes of legality.
