- The w aveform monitor is kind of cool because it gives me both brightness information and color information, but like I said, red, green and blue don't contribute equally to the final image, and sometimes it can be a little misleading. That's why I like to use it in combination with the RGB Parade. Let's take a look at the RGB Parade to see how it's different. Notice how on this RGB overlay, I've got them on top of each other superimposed, but if I come down to the Parade, I've got them broken out, they're shown in Parade, first the red, then the green, then the blue. If I bring us back to where we had Resolve superimposed over black, let me come up and kick up our Parade graticules, there we go. You can see Resolve 12 red, green, and blue. Also notice that because they are precisely the same, you're not seeing any variation in the size or shape of the waveforms between each of the color channels, that means that they're perfectly aligned, and that means we've got a perfectly…
