Updating from earlier versions of DaVinci Resolve

- Let's talk about updating an existing version of Resolve to Resolve 12. Really, this movie is aimed at those of you who already have an earlier version installed on your system like Resolve 10 or 11. You're going to learn how you can upgrade early releases safely. You'll see me upgrade to the most recent version at the time of this recording. But, if by the time you're watching this, there are newer versions of Resolve 12, please absolutely upgrade to the most current version. As I've said before, Blackmagic is continually doing bug fixes, adding new features, adding new camera support. I want you to have that. Don't hold back updating to the most current version. Now, the question always is, what's the best practice? Should you uninstall DaVinci Resolve? Should you write over it? What used to be done all the time was, people would make a new folder, put Resolve 8 in that folder, and then install Resolve 9 right next to it. We can't do that anymore, all right?
