Tweaking preferences for better performance (NEW)

- One of the things that amazes me most about DaVinci Resolve, is the wide range of computers it runs on, from MacBook laptops to literally high-powered Linux systems, everything in between. Resolve is one of the most scalable pieces of post-production software I've ever seen. But for it to run on these wide range of systems, it has to be able to turn off some of its more CPU-intensive functions, but it can't always tell which of these functions will improve your performance or not, which means we've got to do this ourselves. And when we're talking performance, I'm usually talking about maintaining real time playback while we're editing and color correcting. Now, the Resolve user manual has an entire chapter dedicated to this, and what it's doing is tweaking project settings to improve performance. In this movie, I'll summarize the recommendations of that chapter, and I've got a thought or two as to which I think are more effective, and I'll add one more option that's not mentioned in…
