- As we've been talking about in previous chapters, DaVinci Resolve organizes itself into databases and projects. As you're about to learn, there are Resolve system preferences that span all projects and all databases. These system preferences generally relate to the hardware you've attached to your system. Do you have a colors control surface? Do you have external monitoring and external audio? When DaVinci Resolve generates its own media to improve the performance of your playback under the hood, where does that media get saved? That's what this movie is about. If you're following along with the exercise files, I'm continuing here in Chapter 04a - Overview, and I'm going to jump into the DaVinci Resolve menu and select Preferences and these are the system preferences.
