- Obviously you can see so far, shapes are a big part of the DaVinci Resolve user interface. That's because we use them so often, they're so valuable to have in our tool set, and over the years they've added a ton of options. Let's keep looking at what's available to us. Well, besides creating shapes and having multiple shapes up at the same time, we can copy and paste shapes. Now, how would I copy a circle shape to a rectangular shape? I can't, but what I can do is add another circle shape. I've got one circle shape here, let's imagine that it's actually on his face. Let's go ahead and reset this grade a little bit, and imagine what we really want to do is bring up some details in his face and drop the shadows a little bit, and bring up the highlights a little bit.
