Overview: The Edit page

- Once we've got our footage into the Media Pool, it's time to create our timelines, start editing, and basically prep for the color correction. So, to do that, let's jump into the Edit page, and let's take a close look at how the Edit page works. We've kind of mentioned previously that there's what I call Media Pool mirroring going on between the Edit page and the Media page. So, if I come down to this piece of RED footage and highlight it here, when I jump back into the media page, I am back in the RED folder. If I jump up to the Audio folder, or the Audio bin, jump into the Edit page, it's automatically keeping us in the Audio bin. So, within DaVinci Resolve, there's a certain amount of mirroring between the bin we're in in the Edit page and the bin we're in in the Media Pool, and that's all to keep you in sync with what you're doing.
