- So far we've taken a look at the user interface here in DaVinci Resolve and how the screens and different pages are laid out. It turns out there's an alternate method of running DaVinci Resolve which is adding a second screen and guess what, you may have noticed on my desktop here I've got a second screen. Now this is a very small light weight USB3 monitor and I've hooked it up here to my laptop. And that enables DaVinci Resolve to be put into a dual screen mode. Let's take a look what happens when we do that and why you might want to do that. Now the first thing to recognize is this second monitor right here is seen by my computer as an extended desktop. That's point number one in order to make this work. Then we're going to come up to Workspace and we're going to come down to Layout. We'll select Dual Screen and turn on the Dual Screen Mode. Without this monitor here plugged in and turned on and seen as an extended desktop, this command down here will be dimmed out. So I'll go…
