- Now that you've learned the basics of what I'm doing when I'm looking to match skin tones, let's take a look at a couple of examples, and if you're follwoing along with the exercise files I'm working in 11_10 Skin Tone Examples. And the first thing to do is on the scope let's go ahead, open our options panel and deselect the 2X zoom, let's just go with a normal view for the moment. So the first thing i've got here are two shots that need to match together. Imagine that this is some b-roll and then we're cutting to an interview shot. So we're constantly cutting between these two shots. Clearly (laughs) I've got a bit of a problem here, in terms of color balance, but we're really just focusing on skin tone, can we get the skin tones between these two shots to match? Well, let's go ahead and see what I did on the base grade. I'm going to command + n to version shot number one, this is called pat's match, and notice what's going on in the node tree.
