In this movie, author Patrick Inhofer walks you through the steps you need to export XML and AAF files from DaVinci Resolve.
- I've taken the liberty of rendering this out,…I actually put a blue wash on all of these clips…so we can see them, because I wanted to demonstrate…something kind of interesting when we're doing…the handle's workflow, we're in the Deliver page,…and we select an easy setup.…Here's what happens.…Not only does Resolve do this render,…which I put into a folder called Final Render,…you can see it here in the Render queue,…I'm going to hide Resolve, come out to Final Render…here on my desktop, when I double-click and open this…you're going to see not only do I have individual…Quicktime clips in here,…I've also got an XML.…
What Resolve does is, after it finishes the render,…it automatically generates an XML…and this XML links to the footage in this folder.…So if I come back into Resolve, hit Save at this point,…what just happened is Resolve now knows, hey,…not only have you color-corrected this timeline,…we've done the Conform, we've done a render,…I also know where those render files exist because…we can also ask Resolve to generate an XML.…
