- In our previous movie, we explored one method of importing an XML to create a timeline where we pre-populated the media pool. There's another way of doing this, because the XML knows the footage that it's supposed to connect to. We can tell the XML on import where that footage is, it'll go find it, it'll pull it into our media pool, populate it for us, and the advantage is it will only pull into our project the exact clips needed to recreate our timeline. We're not pulling in more media than we need. So, how do we go about doing this? Let me show you... Sometimes what I do if my initial XML import doesn't work when I pre-populate my media pool, what I'll sometimes do is come into the Project Manager and I'll create a new project. Yeah, let's go ahead and save this project, and I'm going to call this new project my Delete Me project. I do this all the time. My XML import failed.
