Conforming a timeline with an XML file

- In this movie we're going to import our XML and re-link it to our source footage. This process is frequently called The Conform. Generally there are two approaches to the conform process and I'm going to take you through both of them. Basically, the difference is do we put media in the media pool first, or do we let Resolve import the media when we import the XML? Well, the question is, what version of Resolve are we using? Because I've found personally, some versions of Resolve I like to pre-populate the media pool. Other versions of Resolve, that never seems to work very well and I use the XML import dialog to pull in the footage. So, it's kind of catch as catch can. If it works for you, whatever you're doing, great. If not, just try again and try a different version and that's what we are going to do right now. I'm going to show you both ways of doing this.
