Building a Resolve system: Overview

- DaVinci Resolve is cross-platform software running on Mac, Windows and Linux. Since it's a high performance production and post-production tool, knowing what it takes to run Resolve without glitches can be challenging. And since it can run on laptops, iMacs, towers, what you can expect Resolve to do in real time, reliably, is dependent on your specific setup. In this movie, we'll take an overview look at the minimum configuration you'll need to run Resolve, as well as point out an upgrade path or two. And it doesn't matter if you're running DaVinci Resolve or Resolve Studio, the hardware requirements are the same. DaVinci Resolve comes in two flavors: the paid an free versions. Which we discussed in detail earlier. It also runs on the three operating systems that I had mentioned, but frankly, it would be foolish to try to go through all the options for each OS here in this type of training.
