- There are a couple additional timeline commands you will find extremely useful. Let's start by a simple one, which is duplicating a timeline and renaming a timeline. So we're going to come into 05_01 Trailer v003. I'm going to right-click on it, come into this Timelines sub-menu. There's another fly-out menu. And we're going to select Duplicate Timeline. That gives me a copy, and now I'm going to rename it by right-clicking and dragging down to Rename. It gives me a text box. I'll call this 05_05 More Timeline Stuff. Let's talk about three-point editing. This is a staple on any major editing system. I'll sort by File Name here in the list view, and let's just see, what's this first clip that pops up, yeah, that's great, so I'll double click that. Pull that into the source viewer. And what's a three-point edit? Well, a three-point edit allows us to do something like back time. What do I mean? Well, let's say that I set a Mark In in and Mark In out on my record timeline.
