Starting a project and adding media
Even the longest journey begins with the single step. And starting your project properly can go a long way to creating an optimized workflow. And it can also pretty likely save you a lot of headaches later in the project. Fortunately Vegas has some easy to use tools for setting up your movie project, and matching your source video to your project settings, for our most efficient workflow. Now a lot of people when they start a new project simple click this little button up here in the upper left corner, and that creates an empty project. And you can start putting your video into it. I would recommend rather than doing that, you put a little thought into your project settings, because the closer your project settings are to your video specs, the more efficient your workflow and the easier and smoother your production will go. So rather that clicking on just starting an empty project, go the File menu and select New. When you select that, you get an option screen. Now you can see that by…
