Mixing multiple tracks of audio in Vegas

As we've seen, one of the challenges with editing audio in the otherwise excellent sound Sound Forge program, is that you can only edit one audio source at a time. You can combine more than one audio source into a single audio clip, but ultimately its a single track editor. Fortunately, in addition to its' video editing capability, Sony Vegas can be used as a multi-track audio editor. There is even a windows layout that's specifically designed for mixing audio. Let's imagine, rather than my movie here, we have several audio sources. We have a recording of a guitar. We have a recording of drums. And we have a recording of a piano. We have a recording of vocals. And we want to mix them all together. If we go here to the View Menu, we can select our Windows Layout, and there's a Windows Layout specifically for audios mixing. We can certainly use this for our movies also and you can see that it, re-orients the work space just a little bit. I'm hovering this up so we can see all the tracks…
