Speed up your character rigging and animation workflows in After Effects with Duik, the free script-based toolset.
- [Narrator] Hello, I'm Owen Lowery and we're about to dive into Duik, one of the coolest animation and character rigging tool sets available for Adobe After Effects. And to top it all off, it's 100 percent free of charge. Yeah, you heard me right, free. In this extensive course, we'll start by covering Duik's amazing character rigging tools. We'll learn how to rig up characters using inverse kinematics for simplified animation and stronger character rig controls.
We'll go over creating and rigging bones for puppet tool based characters, learn techniques for animating a nice looking walk cycle and delve into all the other comprehensive rigging tools Duik provides. Beyond character rigging, we'll take a look at all the additional tool boxes included within Duik. We'll demonstrate how each of the various automation tools can be utilized to save time and add diversity to everyday Mograph animations. We'll use animation tools to gain further control over interpolation and influence and speed of our keyframes.
We'll explore what features Duik adds to 3D cameras and also get to draw up some traditional frame by frame animation thanks to Duik's cell animation function. You'll even find yourself being challenged to make a character rig do a little dance without adding a single keyframe to it. Oh yeah, it's gonna get silly up in here. So buckle down and let's get started with Duik.
