- [Narrator] I'm in 12 03 Scale Z-Link.…And we'll be taking a look at the Scale Z-Link function…in the cameras toolbox in Duik.…The Scale Z-Link tool adds a slider to a 3-D layer,…that will scale it either up or down to compensate…for the distance of a 3-D camera.…This causes that layer to maintain the same apparent size,…regardless of where it is in relation to the camera.…For example, in this composition I have my two characters…about to engage in a hardcore, old-school staring contest.…
Now, I want to move my camera around the scene,…which will affect the characters, but I want that title…to stay the same size no matter what.…I could just make it a 2-D layer, but then…the light source I have in here won't affect it the same.…So, if I select my camera, hit P,…and I move my Z-position in and out,…I want that stare down to stay the same size.…But it's not doing it right now.…So, I will use the Scale Z-Link to achieve this.…
