- [Speaker] I'm in 0801 Automation Menu Overview, and within the Automation Toolbox, which if we come over to do it, looks like this little icon of a bar in the different states of swinging, I'll go ahead and just click on that. You'll find many different tools, which mostly use expressions to create automated animations on different properties of your layers. Automated meaning automatic, or animation that works on its own without spending a whole lot of time having to set a whole lot of key frames. These are time-saving tools that are commonly used with character animation, but they have countless uses outside of rigging. As stated earlier, many of these tools use expressions that are native to After Effects, and you can achieve a lot of the same results by writing these expressions yourself.
