Using a gimbal

- So Francis, we're out here in the beautiful Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard and we have, again, a Quadcopter here, the DJI Phantom. But this is a little of a different set-up than what we saw in the previous episodes. This actual Quadcopter has a Gimbal set-up. Now, what is a Gimbal? - A Gimbal is basically a stabilizer for your camera, so it can move left to right. No matter which direction you are going, it's going to have a smooth camera movement. - Yea, this has always been one of my complaints about on the Vision 2, sort of the built-in camera or in previous generations of the Phantom, when you had sort of a static non-Gimbal set-up. You got camera shake, you got vibrations. I mean, these Quadcopters are vibrating a lot, with the rotors and the movement and all that kind of stuff. So, what the Gimbal allows us to do is kind of sort of stabilize all that, get smoother looking shots.
