Directing the shoot

Rich: When I'm directing it's pretty important that we have control over the scene. Make sure that you have the attention of all your camera operators and that the cameras are indeed rolling. Now with professional cameras, you often get options like tally light, so I can just look around and see that the cameras are recording. With DSLRs I don't have that, so I need to make eye contact with each operator and get them to give me verbal confirmation, that the camera is indeed rolling.
