- Hi, my name's Rich Harrington. - And I'm Robbie Carman. - On this week's Video Gear Weekly, we're going to continue our look at the GoPro panning time-lapse. You might remember when we were out at that great winery. We wanted to create some time-lapse shots of the big barn and the sky. - [Robbie] Yeah, and you convinced me an egg timer was the perfect tool to do the time-lapse. (laughs) - [Rich] Yeah! You could use these really cheap ones for this, which worked out great. I don't want to wind this because then it's going to tick through the whole episode. - [Robbie] It's pretty loud, yeah. - Or there are - I hate to call them professional, there are dedicated - - [Robbie] Re-purposed egg timers for professional use.
- [Rich] Yeah, that actually have tick marks on them. Camalapse and Flow-Mow is another one. These are pretty cool. And what it does is, essentially slowly over time, turns the GoPro, and we have a couple of these shots. We're going to take a look at a free way to put these together. You might know from lynda.com that I'm a big fan of time-lapse. I've got a bunch of courses in the Linda library, but sometimes I like to just get creative and use cheap, affordable tools, and that's what we're going to do now. - [Robbie] Everybody's not going to jump into after-effects or really high end professional tools, and I'm really interested this week because I've never done this before, so you're going to see a lot of, "That's cool, Rich!" from me this week, because I'm really interested in it, and this is something I've been looking forward to for a while now.
- We are going to put together some time-lapse shots with GoPro Studio.
