Rejecting polygons and polylines - D3.js Tutorial
From the course: D3.js Essential Training for Data Scientists
Rejecting polygons and polylines
- [Instructor] A polygon is a closed shape formed of connected straight lines. Triangles are polygons as are hexagons, star shapes, and dodecahedrons. A polyline is an open ended shape formed of connected straight lines. Both types of SVG shape can be added in D3, but it's usually quicker to use Path, which we're going to come on to. I've never used polygon or polyline in D3, and I've never seen anyone who has, but I wanted you to know that they are options.
