- [Instructor] Now that we've seen the best method of getting MIDI notes into Cubase, i.e: a using MIDI keyboard, let me show you a different method. I am going to utilize the same track, "The Grand 3" track that we used previously, but here it is now an empty track; I've deleted the previously recorded MIDI data. Obviously, you will need to ensure that it is activated over here within the VSTi panel as well. Additionally, so that we can hear ourselves playing through it, we need to activate the monitor button on the track area like we've done previously. What I'm going to show you here is a virtual keyboard that floats around on our screen, that we can utilize to click on with our mouse and play MIDI notes. We find it by coming up to Studio on the menu and then rolling down there to where it says On-Screen Keyboard, the shortcut being Alt + K. It's only quite small, let me just move it up here. It is only quite small as I say but we can play any of the notes across a wide octave…
