Using markers
- [Instructor] I've swapped over to a different project now. It features the same singer as we heard before, and it consists of a rough MP3 demo of that singer. I'm recording his next album for him and I've asked him to send me an MP3 sketch of all the songs so I can build up the backing and instrumentation for him prior to him coming into my studio to rerecord the vocals and guitars. So far, all I've done with the project is record a simple midi baseline, to go with the combined scratch vocal and guitar track, and the midi baseline is using HALion Sonic to produce the bass sound. Anyway, what I want to do is continue adding in what are known as markers, that indicate specific points in the song structure. I already have some markers in place. I asked the singer to give me the Cubase project with markers in place. That has been done mainly, but I do need to amend some of these and possibly rename them. I will want to rename the marker track itself, though, that's for sure. You'll see…
