- [Instructor] I'm now going to finish this introduction to Cubase here with this tutorial looking at the mix console. Remember we glanced at it at the end of the previous tutorial. To be honest, you might not ever use the mix console. Some users manage to mix their projects without ever leaving this project view whilst using the vertical track order, though I'd suggest it's easier to mix with the mix console if you are used to using traditional mixers. So, to open up the mix console into view, only means we click on this button. We now see this graphical representation of a traditional mixer that mirrors the vertical track order of the project view, but here the track order is presented horizontally. The different areas can be enlarged or contracted. For example, the fader area at the foot can be dragged up to expand its height, and we now get to use the faders and pan sliders and solo and mute buttons as we would expect from a traditional mixer.
