- To help make the most of your raw recorded audio,…Cubase offers some functions…that allow you to process audio…prior to making any surgical edits,…such as cutting parts away.…There are quite a number of these audio processing functions…so let's have a look at a few of these.…Here's the procedure.…First of all, you'll need to select the event…that you want the processing to apply to.…This can be one event or multiple events.…I'm going to choose this Vocal file once more.…Incidentally, if it had been cut up into different clips…then you need to be careful…about the processing that you apply.…
I'll show you what I mean in a moment.…If you only process one part of a vocal track,…maybe by increasing its Gain,…then it will sound odd when played back…with all the other sections.…Now as we know, this Vocal file is one long take,…but imagine it was a composite of many events,…and in fact, let's artificially do that.…I'm going to take the Scissors tool…from up here within our Tools Palette,…this is the Cut tool,…and then if I move over our audio file…
