After you create a report section you might find that it is not quite large enough to hold or display all of the controls and data you need to. Or, it might be too large. Learn how to resize a report section. There's no absolute minimum size for a section but it should be the size of the data controls within it so that they will all appear.
- [Narrator] After you create a Reports section,…you might find that it is not quite large enough…to hold or display all the controls…and data you need it to.…It could also be the case…that you don't have as much space as you want…between individual items in your Detail section…or it could be that the section is too big…and you want to reduce its size.…In this movie,…I will show you how to resize a Report section…so you get the effect you want.…My sample file is Resize Section…and you can find it in the chapter three folder…of your exercise files collection.…
If you want to resize a section,…go to the Design view…and you do that by clicking the Design tab,…which is on the tab bar for the report.…And then,…I can hover my mouse pointer over the bottom border…and in this case,…I'll go down to the Details section…and position my mouse pointer over its bottom border.…I know it's in place when I have two horizontal bars…and vertical arrows pointing both up and down,…so I will drag that border down just a bit…and you can see that…
