- [Instructor] It's important to remember that within the Creative Cloud umbrella there's actually several versions of each application. With every new major release of a product, Adobe assigns it a new version number, so there's quite a few versions of each product. Now for many companies who may utilize third party plug-ins or custom scripts, there may be a reason not to upgrade to the latest version of an application and it may be required that users use an earlier version of that application. The Creative Cloud desktop application gives you access to previous versions of Creative Cloud applications, to keep your work flow intact. Now as of May of 2019, there have been a few changes to Creative Cloud and how Adobe names the software.
