If you're a premium member of the lynda.com online training library or if you're watching this tutorial on a DVD-ROM you have access to the exercise files used throughout this title. If you open up the Exercise Files folder you will find a folder for each of the movies on this course. Inside that folder there will be two additional folders, a workingfolder and a finished folder. The workingfolder has a copy of the project at the beginning of the movie and the finished folder has a copy at the end of the movie. At the beginning of the movie, I'll start by opening up a copy of the workingfolder and drag in the folder called easel into my desktop.
I'll open up that folder with my favorite text editor and I'll open up a copy of the index file and usually a copy of the script.js file. The index file needs to be previewed in a browser like Safari or Chrome, so I am going to right-click and select Open With > Chrome. I'll move this to the right of the document and start working with the project. Inside the images folder you may see some additional assets for this project. If your monthly member or annual member of lynda.com, you don't have access to the exercise files, but you can follow along from scratch with your own assets.
