Interviews with stakeholders help us uncover their needs and understand the project from their point of view. Interviews that are done well help stakeholders express their needs and learn more about the details, gaps, options and alternatives. Your stakeholders' ideas and thoughts about their requirements evolve over time and you play a key role in this evolution. Interviewing is a key technique that helps enable this transformation.

In this course, we will look at how interviews help us build stakeholder relationships, and elicit powerful information on project and solution context, as well as details to maximize the value the solution brings to the organization. I'll start by showing you how to effectively and strategically plan for interviewing a stakeholder. Then, you'll learn how to conduct and follow up with a meeting.
And along the way, I'll discuss key insights to relationship building, asking high impact and powerful probing questions, how to capture and organize information from the interviews, and the mindset you'll need to be successful.
