The Camera Uploads feature is a simple way to transfer photos and videos from your mobile device into your Dropbox storage. In this tutorial, Keith Gilbert shows you how to transfer files from your mobile device to your Dropbox account, both wirelessly and tethered.
- Dropbox provides a very simple and efficient way…to wirelessly transfer the photos and videos…from your mobile device directly to your Dropbox storage.…To enable this feature, go to Settings…and turn Camera Upload on.…Immediately, an indicator appears on the screen in red…that starts to countdown,…that's how many photos are left to upload…to your Dropbox folder.…Immediately a little red countdown appears on your screen,…this countdown is indicating…how many photos are left to upload to dropbox.com.…
Where do they get uploaded to?…Well, Dropbox makes a new folder called Camera Uploads,…and copies all your photos into that folder.…The photos are still on my device,…so if I were to go on my iPhone to my Photos app,…I would still see the photos there, too,…but there's no reason to keep them there,…I can delete them off my device…because they're now safely stored in Dropbox.…In the future, each time that I run the Dropbox app,…Dropbox will check to see if there's any new photos…on my device, and if so, will upload those…
