- Although email isn't usually the communication method of choice for most students, it's still an effective way to deliver information online. In this video I want to go over a couple tips for using a Gmail account to send emails. Now, I recommend signing up for a Gmail account if you don't already have one as Google has done a great job of integrating with most educational platforms. And they offer a ton of tools, apps, and add ons that help to improve education. You can sign up for an account on gmail.com. Now, right now I'm signed into my Gmail account already and I want to first show you how to create a Google group inside of your email. There are times in which you may have to send an email to your entire class or to a group of students working on a specific project. Typing in all of their names each time would be way too time consuming, so let's create a group which allows us to send one message to everyone in that group at the same time.
