From the course: AutoCAD Civil 3D: Intersecting New Roads with Existing Roads

Welcome

- [Voiceover] Hello, I'm Eric Chappell and welcome to Civil 3D: Intersecting New Roads with Existing Roads using Civil 3D. Hopefully you're familiar with performing road design in Civil 3D or better yet, you've taken Basic Roadway Design with Civil 3D, another course available here at lynda.com. What you're about to see is an extension of that course which covers a specific but very useful skill and one that you'll need quite often when performing road design. What I'm talking about is designing the intersection between a new road and an existing road. This can be tricky because of the need to match perfect design geometry with imperfect field conditions. Many people will accomplish this using a time consuming manual approach, but I'm here to show you how to leverage Civil 3D's intersection tools so that the software can do it for you, so dig in and enjoy Civil 3D: Intersecting New Roads with Existing Roads.
