Understanding pipe network styles

- If you know anything about Civil 3D, you know that styles are a big part of how it does what it does. In this video, we'll discuss pipe network styles in a general sense. What they do, and why they're important. In Civil 3D, structures and pipes each have their own set of styles. And within those styles, you can control how the pipes and structures appear in plan, profile, 3D model, and even cross-section view. So already, in a short amount of time, we can see that styles control a great deal about what's going on in the drawing. And it's important to recognize that, not only do styles control what you see in the drawing, for example, if I were to change the style of this manhole, and I could do that by going to Structure Properties and simply picking a different style, it changes the way that object appears in the drawing. And, as I mentioned, it changes its appearance in multiple locations, in this case, we're only looking at plan and profile views, so we're only seeing it there…
